Go to your inbox (https://mail.ecomail.earth/inbox)
Click on the “Trash” folder in the list of folders
Then click on the 3 small vertical dots at the top of the list of folders
To finish, click "Empty".

Click on "settings" on the left
Click on "Filters"
In the 3rd column on the right, click on create.
Give a name to the filter, in the "scope" part choose "all emails"
In "actions" choose "Reply with email"
Fill in as per your preference and then save.

Configure my email box on Thunderbird

The following tutorial is done on a MacBook with MacOS. The configuration on Windows is substantially the same.

To check your Ecomail emails, you can of course use the web interface available at https://mail.ecomail.earth but you can also configure your email on software such as Thunderbird.

To configure Ecomail on Thunderbird, follow these steps:

Launch Thunderbird.
Go to "Tools" then "Account Settings".
At the bottom of the page, click on "Account Actions" then "Add Mail Account".
Fill in the form with your information. In the example, the Ecomail email box used is "demo@ecomail.fr".
Click on "Continue". Thunderbird will try to find the configuration settings on its own, but it won't succeed. Click on "Manual config".
Correct the various fields to match information below, replacing "demo@ecomail.fr" with your own Ecomail address.

Incoming Server:

IMAP Server: imap.ecomail.fr
Incoming server username: your complete email box.
Port: 993
Security: SSL/TLS

Outgoing Server:
SMTP Server: smtp.ecomail.fr
Outgoing server username: your complete email box.
Port: 587
SSL: STARTTLS
Authentication: normal password

Click on "Re-test". Thunderbird will validate. Click on "Done".

Your Ecomail email box is now configured on Thunderbird. All that's left is to send and receive emails, not forgetting to delete unnecessary emails!

General Information (incoming/outgoing):
Username: your complete email address (including the @ecomail.fr, for example)
Password: the password of the email box

Incoming Mail Server:
Host/Address: imap.ecomail.fr
Port: 993
Security: SSL

Outgoing Mail Server:
Host/Address: smtp.ecomail.fr
Port: 587
Security: TLS / STARTTLS

Pay special attention to the addresses of the incoming and outgoing servers. Indeed, some software pre-configures the email box with incorrect information.

If you wish to add a signature automatically to all the emails you send from the Ecomail interface, follow these steps:

To ensure that your signature is displayed below each of your emails and above the quote of the email you are responding to:

Click on "Settings"
Click on "Preferences"
Click on "Composing Messages"
Ensure that "When replying" is set to: "start the new email above the quote"
Ensure that "Automatically add signature" is set to "Always"
Save your changes.

Your signature will now be displayed in all your sent emails.
